14/04/09 Red Stick Animation Festival Workshop

I will be attending the Red Stick Animation Festival where I'll be holding a full-day workshop on Visual Effects. Hosted in (hopefully) sunny Baton Rouge they've got a very good line-up so would be a big shame not to come on down, y'all :)

21/01/09 Saints Preserve us... DTE Support Site Fully Online!!!

Yes it's taken a while and I can only apologise as much as I have for the amount of time it has taken as it's development has been out of my control, however the content site is now complete, plus as per some reader requests I've also got the publisher to throw up all of the original video tutorial .avi files so you can watch everything offline instead of having to stream it via the secure site.

Amazon.com are doing a pretty good deal on the book at the moment, however Amazon.uk aren't. Check the links at the bottom of this page...

05/01/09 Animex 2009 Workshop bookings now being taken

As mentioned below, I'm again attending the Animex festival, held in Teesside, UK in February where I'll be holding a full-day workshop on visual effects for 3ds Max. Tickets are very cheap and go pretty fast judging from previous years so get on there quick! Actually, stay for the entire week as it's an awesome festival!

I'll also be holding a book signing for the latest edition of the Deconstructing the Elements book, so you can either buy copies or bring your own over!

25/11/08 New Free Tutorials Uploaded in Education Section!!

I've posted 21 new papers and tutorials in the Education section - everything should be live now, so if you find any broken links such as resource files, screenshots (etc), please email me and I'll jump on and get em fixed. Now I just wish that the book's support site was updated that quickly...!

Also, confirming that I'll be attending Animex in February 2009 and will be holding another workshop amongst other cool stuff :) Come along and stay for the week! You'll meet some awesome people in the industry, plus it's the 10th anniversary of the festival so it's guaranteed to rock! Check their site often for the full lineup 'cos when the tickets go on sale, they go fast so you'll need to get in there sharpish!
